After a long month of waiting...... We finally embark the road to DESARU again. This time, nothing shall stop us from LIGHTHOUSE TU JIGGING! The day before the BIG DAY......
Ring..ring..ring.. my phone rang at nearly 11pm. Wondering if those buggers were going to put airplane.
Me: HELO??
Ah Long: Meet you all at 8am
Ah Long: Remember to ta pao makan for me hor.. dun be like last time...
Me: ORH.. I put down the phone and went.. WTF! Gonna wake up EARLY!!!
Woke up at 3.30am........
Bought useless live prawns at 4.30am.............
Pick up Ah Chun at 5.00am............
Meet Raymond at 6.00am..................
Had Wanton mee at infamous Ah BIAO...............
Reached OUR DESARU BEACH at 8.15am.....................
LOVING THE SEA, THE BREEZE AND THE WONDERFUL SUN........... We packed everything and wifey up to the boat first... Then our stylo ah long towed his boat slowly into the soft shimmering sea. We took flight and all of us were on the boat. He pushed his key in and started the engine.. zeekk zeekk... the clacking sound was irritating!
Ah Long: You all hor.. sibei suay.. Wifey: Simi... U then suay.. He took out the engine case and started checking. We all know he's was not joking about this damn thing. Under the scorching hot sun, he's started pespiring...dunno whether he is panicking or just hhhhooootttt.... It came well when he started his engine manually.. but inside our hearts... we were worried.. Can he leave for TU after jigging? Aiyah, it just hit us a second and soon, we were back to our AIM.. To JIG the unfathomable. We reached TU after an hour of journey, the tide was good. No sight of small fishes....... After tying our boat rope with one of the boulders, we started to jig in fast and furious speed. 10mins passed.... no bite....15 mins passed..... no bite.... Suddenly wifey saw something jumped out of the waters. A queen fish about 5kg was dancing in the air! We soon threw our 60g jigs to the destination, and true enough, mine got HIT! And HARD!! My rod bent down under the boat and the reel was screaming in high pitch. My poor 2000 daiwa revros seems not to tahan anymore. Before it went deeper, the hook lost it and I HATE IT!!! Not long after, Ah Chun was hit TWICE! His 4000 FREAMS KIX is doing justice. He was manipulating the queen fish from left and right, suddenly, the queenie did an outstanding jump and shook off the hook. DAMN...damn....damn.... Ah Long: You all do charity HUR??? If I kena the queenie, u think got chance to release izit?? (HAO LIAN)
Our raymond korkor did not jig much as his light equipment wasn't tough enough...Next time then..
It reached 12pm.. all of us were dead tired, so suggested let's go bottom.
Ah Long said with hesitation' this is the last place on earth I want to bring you..'
The reason he brought us there was because all of our LIVING prawns were DEAD. The cause: I put ice directly into it and the rest was history...
Ah Long: Change all to tamban hook.. U will get Ms wong, selar, kunning here.
Wifey: I lazy to change..
Me: Diam Diam (coz sianz 1/2 already)
Raymond: Ok...
Ah Chun: I am the anchorman.. I dun want to fish liao..
Raymoond was the first to drop his tamban hook.. and within a spilt second, his feather rod bent and throttle. He brought his line and and was filled with fish.. I thought..." I want big fish.. I want big fish.. I will just use my prawn meat..to hook any big fish...' Next, ah long changed my wifey's line and there she was jigging plenty of fishes up.. As she was happily jigging, her 4000 twinpower screamed, with her line zigzaging. She fought for awhile before she brought up that bugger... and GUESS WAT, the QUEENIE TOOK TAMBAN HOOK?!?!?!?!
Soon, of all us landed at least one queenie, total catch was 6 queenies. Next was wifey took a sudden shock, and she reeled quickly in, to find her selar's body gone, with the head still moving. RIP, poor selar. Ah long quickly took his rod and started jigging, suspecting the criminal was barracuda.. but to no avail. The whole trip ended with a fantastic sight of seagulls chasing after bait fishes, with skipjacks chasing. The view was exciting and hopeful. This will bring us here again, with avengence and our fishing passion. Next trip... NIGHT FISHING WITH AH LONG for more excitements!
